Nice place to park your car and walk a piece of the cliff path, or to just sit down at one of the benches and enjoy the view.

On the cliff path, this beautiful spot provides panoramic views of the sea and of course one is with earshot of the waves splashing against the rocks, living up to its name “Angry water”. Do walk the cliff path beyond this spot, it is worth...More

I can hear the waves at night and it's also my go to place to sit on the numerous little benches on the Cliff path to watch the whales in season, or just to stare at the sea....

The power of the sea was immense and the sound deep and rumbling. We had a few days of high wind as well so it was built up. The whole trail is such an asset.

Kwaaiwater is wonderful for sunset drinks on the rocks. Take a bottle (or two) of something ice cold and watch the sun go down Simply gorgeous to see

Of our three days in Hermanus, the first 2 were very stormy, which unfortunately meant that we didn't have chance to see whales on those days but did see the huge waves crashing over Kwaaitwater. Part of the cliff path.

This aptly named stretch of coastline is amazing to visit - its very rocky, with waves breaking straight against the rocks at high tide, sometimes with a spectacular impact, which sends spray shooting into the air. This is a good vantage point for whale watching,...More

We've been to Hermanus a few times and visited last month for a mini break and Kwaaiwater always impresses. The weather was glorious in March and the rugged beauty of the rocks against the sparkling blue sea was absolutely stunning. There are several benches and...More
