Is this the funkiest and most magical bookshop in the world ? Probably. We spent a wonderful hour looking and then buying some delightful books. If you enter do look for the “sad clown” ! It is wonderful

If you're a reader this is definitely the store for you. From South African fiction and Africana to politics and philosophy, Hemmingways has it all. We spent more than an hour browsing the many nooks of the store and will definitely pop in more often.

This is a dream bookstore - fabulously well-stocked, easy to lose yourself in for hours on end. The owner is very knowledgeable but there's no push to sell you anything; you can browse to your heart's content or sit for while in a cozy corner...More
