Overview
More
Our cellar and wine brand is proud to pay homage to and re-live the origin of our village, Hermanuspietersfontein, as it was first named in 1855. Our passion and commitment is to produce wines of the highest quality and to add value to the reputation, which Hermanus enjoys as a premium wine-producing region. Here our winemaker, Bartho Eksteen, makes world-class wines in a state of the art wine cellar, using only the highest quality grapes from one farm. He controls the process from vineyard to cellar and plies his craft and passion under seamless conditions to produce wines of distinctive style and character. Our tasting room is open from 08:00 - 17:00 during the week and cellar tours available on request. Our courtyard transforms into a Food & Wine Market every Saturday offering the best of local produce! Come for breakfast, stay for lunch and buy dinner on your way out... And don't forget about the wine!

Initially thought I would be met with an actual wine farm, the wine tasting room is just as good experience. Cheap tasting, great wine and friendly staff. Nice homely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit when passing through Hermanus. Turn off sign not too visible from...More

We dropped in for the soup lunch deal on a cold wet day. Warm welcome, delicious soup, bread and wine and a cosy fire. Lovely staff who went out of their way to ensure we selected the right wine. Made our canine friend welcome also....More

I absolutely loved the story behind the name of this farm and where the sheep theme came from. Delve into some quirky Afrikaans culture with wines named the likes of "Kaalvoet Meisie" (Barefoot girl), "Kat met die hout been" (Cat with the wooden leg) and...More

Visited the market on a Saturday morning and were greeted with many friendly faces and helpful staff. Amazing cheeses, breads, charcuterie, pastries etc on offer and enough craft beer and delicious wines to accompany. Will definitely return.

Had a nice assortment of wines available. The server was wonderful, would recommend to anyone. It cost 30R per person like other spots.

The wines are very good for the price range. The owner and tasting staff is informative and very friendly. We just missed the morning market (Saturdays) next to the tasting venue, but would love to attend in future.
