Green space in the heart of Cape Town. Nice greenery and pleasant for a stroll. You can feed the squirrels too! There is also the National Art Gallery, Slavery Lodge and Parliament close by.

We went through the gardens a couple times and liked the peaceful shade as well as the great variety of plants, including huge trees and the reconstructed company food garden area.

Lots of walking spaces, good gardens, access to museums and a good cafe for coffee or a meal. Recommend the Art Museum and Jewish Museum.

I’ve been meaning to write some reviews Re Cape Town. After a v short taxi ride from V&A Waterfront, we enjoyed our stroll around this garden (30 min or so at a slow pace) and hope it has been surviving the water crisis in Cape...More

It is a short stroll and a well shaded place to rest on a sunny day. There are some nice looking swings for the younger kids.
