Fantastic beach with great facilities ...the management has maintained a litter free beach with a great boardwalk enjoyed by all The Umhlanga main beach has great restaurants on the beach and is super clean

A beautiful beach with excellent swimming, surfing and snorkeling. The ocean can be rough in places but there are lots of options.More

Great clean beach. Def the warmest beach in SA Roth's time of year. Chance to See Dolphins and chill out at various spots.

Unfortunately there is no swimming at the moment as the shark nets have been lifted, but the beach is still a fun place to spend some time. The presence of lifeguards is clear even though there is no swimming. The beach is beautiful and clean,...More

Spent 3 days in Umhlanga and went to the beach every day. The umbrella and chair hire is very reasonable. The water was a bit cool - but expected for a mid winter break. Spent a long time just relaxing and walking along the beach...More

There is a wage negotiation under way, so the shark nets have been lifted for safety reasons. No swimming for obvious reasons. So weโ€™re swimming at the hotel and just chilling on the empty beach.

The each was very clean and there were life guards on duty every day. Beach was very close to our resort and easily accessable.

I would really recommend The Breakers Resort or Umhlangha Sands Hotel...both on Lagoon Drive in Umhlanga
