This was a truly an unpleasant afternoon out with my husband. We had a bad-mannered waitress, who on arrival said: "There's a delay in the kitchen. I'm telling you so you don't put pressure on me wanting your food". The food arrived brought by another waitress- no serviettes in sight. Serviettes were requested - no show. They had to be requested a second time before making an appearance. My husband ordered a drink - it never came. When it was time to pay, we requested a speed point. The bad-mannered waitress, visibly exasperated, says, "Eish" and shouts across our table to another waitress asking if the speedpoint was fixed. Overall, the food was mediocre and the service was poor. It's such a pity because the park is in a beautiful location and offers a great play area for children.

This was such a splendid tourist attraction many years ago... vibrant, exciting, colorful and full of energy. Today 90% of the businesses, restaurants, shops and exhibitions have closed down and the premises are standing empty. The surrounding areas are not well maintained, the fountains are in disrepair, the area is dirty with people throwing rubbish wherever they want, the façade is in need of cleaning, and the general public around the site has degraded from tourists and fun seekers to vagrants. The building looks at least 20 years older than it really is. The only attractions left is the skycar and the bungee jump. very sad to see such degradation of a once magnificent stadium

They aren’t interested in anyone . Banned dogs and skateboards. Used to be a really nice day out . Another brilliant site slowly getting destroyed by incompetent management

Well... What can i say! In comparison to the sharks and then the serenity of the Botanical gardens and wow does this Jump not just need nerves of steel but rather it requires nails and at that fingertips. All in All Together All @ once.

I was really looking forward to going on top of the arch. Unfortunately on arrival we found both the big swing and cable car are closed, despite what it says on their website. They have been closed for many months, and the ticket office does not know when/if they will be reopening.

We were really looking forward to visiting the stadium as it is interesting from an architectural perspective and as we wanted to get a good view of Durban from the top of the stadium. Sadly, and perhaps because of COVID and steep declines in revenue, there is not much one can do (or would want to do) at the stadium these days. We quickly learned that the cable car to the top of the arch is not working and that they are also not offering the tour that has you walk up the stairs to the top of the arch. You can take a tour of the inside of the stadium, but I'm not sure it would be worth the time. There are a few shops and restaurants that are operating along the outside perimeter of the stadium. Unless you book the tour of the inside of the stadium, all you can really do is walk around or rent bikes and bike around - but I'm not sure why you would want to do it there when you could do so on the beach with better views and better restaurant choices. I really hope they are able to fix the cable car soon. Otherwise, as a tourist, I wouldn't waste your time on a visit unless you are just obsessed with stadiums.

Sad to hear the ethekwini council want to erect a ferris-wheel wheel at the Harbour entrance and they can't even maintain the cable car at Moses. 🙄😩😩

Our tour took us to this huge football stadium, and we were puzzled why. It was dirty and unpleasant, cold functional architecture. It was a struggle to walk around as distances were great and the experience just plain unpleasant.

awesome spectacle, bungee jumping from the pinnicle as well as a viewing platform over the city and it's coastline, there's a nice market on the grounds each month. it's also the biggest venue for music concerts and hosts international conferences and sports events.

Is the walk above the stadium only possible at the weekends? The website indicates it is but the sky swing that uses the same walk way is open on other days.

There is a current article in the Mercury News about the skycar being in need of repair and unsafe.
This should be on your media Pages if your premises are unsafe for visitors

When we did the walk we had intended to use the car. We were informed that it had been out of order for a number of weeks and that the part they needed was still not received.
We were not impressed and told the staff that.
We did the walk though and found it thoroughly enjoyable.
Bit of work and hot in the sun but we could stop and take pictures when we wanted to etc. Apart from the discomfort of wearing a harness I was happy that I did the walk.
If the article says that it is in disrepair then it probably is.

Some days due to wind conditions could be closed or suspended or even closed for maintenance. best to check on the day rather then go through and be disappointed
How much does it cost to get a ride n view Durban from Moses Mabhida Stadium?

It would only cost you R60 to get into the Sky Car!
