Situated on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch is internationally acclaimed as one of the seven most magnificent botanical gardens in the world. The 528 hectares estate includes a cultivated garden and a nature reserve. The developed garden displays collections of southern African plants including many rare and endangered species. There are also visitor facilities in the garden including restaurants, a nursery, a gift shop, a bookshop and a permanent Zimbabwean stone sculpture exhibition.

Well worth a visit. Very rare plant species and lovely setting. Beautiful ponds and restaurants on site. Great for families and for a relaxed walk.

As an avid garder and garden lover...this park has on full display so many plant species...Cape Town has it's own Plant Kingdom...everything grows in South Africa.

Love Kirstenbosch Gardens. Lovely to go for breakfast at Moya and then walk round the gardens. Definitely a must if you love flowers.

Beautiful gardens and the canopy walk... this was included in a tour and we could see right away we didn't have enough time... great shop as well and coffee... take some time and enjoy!

I too would recommend getting those tickets before hand, online. "To avoid any disappointments and maybe secure good seats. I'm sure you could still get tickets at the entrance, but personally I would get them in advance... More
