The quickest way to get from Park Station to Hatfield and back in comfort and style. The Gautrain is immaculate. It is fast. And it is comfortable. Lets have an early expansion. There is also an airport link. Great if you fly from ORTambo.
I forgot my suitcase on the train and this man Michael Maluleke helped me to find it and arranged for the luggage to be brought to the station I was at when I reported it lost. Thanks Michael, excellent job.
The Johannesburg Gautrain system is the best way to get around the huge Johannesburg-Pretoria metropolitan region. It is also the most efficient way to get to and from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport from the main northern suburbs of Sandton and Rosebank as well as...More
Easy to use for a single or couple, straight from the airport to Sandton, Centurion or Pretoria, efficient to use.

I traveled with the Gautrain last Nov, and it was splendid trip between Hatfield and Rosebank the Zone. It is a guick commuter for rush hour traffic. The rates are a steep though. The trains not very crowded, neat and clean.

There are off peak, peak and high peak fares however to the airport (yellow line)it’s peak fares and it cost around R160 or A$16 one way. Depends on exchange rate. Easy to find train station at airport. You will have to purchase a card which you can reload. This is a few additional dollars. Time it takes is approx 15mins. We caught a taxi @ 2 people from airport at one stage due to train strike and it cost $A45 and lucky we didn’t have traffic. It took about 35mins. Apparently traffic can be an issue?
