    Wonderful NOS Campground
Beautiful campground overlooking the Colorado River and Lake mohave. Large pull thru sites with 30 amp, water, and sewer. Each site is protected by berms and shrubs. Very private. Restrooms were spotless and like new. The showers take a card to enter, including the campsite, so they are roomy with lots of hot water and very clean. Friendly host. Down the hill at the water is a marina, well stocked camp store and small restaurant which is open weekends. Positively loved this campground.

The Perfect Place. Better than Lake Mead
We have rented boats all over the country. This was the best experience we have ever had! We first met Patrick. He was warm and welcoming, but also knowledgeable and professional. We knew that we had found the best place to rent. This area is much more interesting than Lake Mead. The Black Canyon of the Colorado is so diverse and beautiful! From the young man at the dock, who went over all the safety features of the boat and gave us great tips of what to see, to our fueling at the end, we cannot say enough good things about this place. The area is perfect!

Get A Better Kayak If You Can
Make sure you rent a decent kayak. Our kayaks were the cheapest one can buy, no fin, hard to keep straight. Some people found out about the foot rests half way through the trip. Also, early mornings are best, after 10 am the river swarms with kayaks.

We stayed in January 2020, and again now in January 2021. We brought a foldable Orukayak and rented another kayak from helpful marina. Their assisted water entry and exit was completely dry. Due to river flowing, it took about 1.5 hours of leisure paddling to make the "cave" and flow gauging station constructed when Boulder dam was being built, and only 45 minutes to return to the marina. The fish hatchery pumps are quite loud.

Water is clear and we also saw herons, eagles, and fox. The campground and facilities are very clean and sites are well dispersed. Our site was level although I saw other RVs on leveling blocks.

Making reservations is very easy online, and lots of lead time suggested for summer months.

Great way to get on the Colorado River. We rented the canoe's for a full day which was cheaper than going with a guide/tour and only used them half a day. Its not far from the Hoover Dam and it was easy to navigate the river to where the emerald caves were. The customer service was great and there are nice bathrooms, a store and restaurant there.

Emerald Cove small cave on Colorado river that runs between Nevada and Arizona several miles below Lake Mead. We took two canoes rented online from Willow Beach Marina. It is a good idea to book early as they fill up quickly. They also rent motor vehicles as well. We rowed about 2 miles which took about 1 1/2 hours on flat water. It was hard work but a fun adventure.
The Cave or cove is the size of a small room that can fit 4 or 5 canoes. The pictures online are deceiving as they are taken from the back of the cave out. We almost miss it if not for a tour group that was ahead of us. Once you adjust your expectations it is very beautiful and worth visiting. The minerals in the sediment reflect the light to luminesce bright emerald green. The water throughout is crystal clear. Along the way there are small places the pull over and take a dip in very cold water. It was exhilarating and refreshing after a long hot row.

The views are incredible and the staff is very nice. High winds greatly affected our 2 mile paddle upstream & back but we made it. Get there early to avoid lines at Emerald Cave or you can simply enjoy the cold clear green water almost every where you look.

Took the kayaking bucket list trip and wasn’t disappointed. You need to time it just right though because the sun only shines on Emerald Cove during certain hours. It was a 2.2 mile paddle up river. We put in at 10:30 at Willow Beach Marina and hit the cove between 12 and 2. Sun was done shining after two and the wait line was long if you don’t hit it before the big guide groups.

Never kayaker, but the folks at Willow Beach made it easy to rent on line, and once I arrived the friendly staff checked me in no fuss no muss. The dock crew had me in the kayak and on my way. Returning my watercraft was just as easy.

Willow Beach is beautiful. The water is crystal clear. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The RV camp ground was also well maintained and we think reasonably priced. You are also very close to Boulder City and Lake Mead.
