Interesting displays of desert wildlife. Facilities for meetings as well. Great community resource. Stuffed animals and live snakes. Useful resource for school or children's organizations.

This is a beautiful facility and they have many educational classes. They have a lot of fun things to do so check the Breaktime Magazine or if you just want to go for a walk it’s got a beautiful trail and a great path surrounding the lake. There is fishing, but you need a fishing license. You can borrow fishing poles but you’ll have to leave your driver license as collateral. It’s a fun place to Birdwatch so pack a lunch and go enjoy our beautiful Arizona weather.. It’s definitely worth a stop to look at the specimens. They even have a gift shop.

From viewing the specimens inside, fishing, birdwatching, an easy hike, or a picnic in a covered ramada the Environmental Education Center has a lot to offer. Check Breaktime Magazine for educational and many other types of classes for all ages. Great staff!

I have enjoyed several visits to the EEC. I have gone fishing, walking and seen the indoors area. I have also visited when the astronomers bring their powerful telescopes and allow you to see the planets up close. That is the most thrilling experience for me. This is a wonderful addition to Chandler parks.

I've driven by this place for over 8 years and never thought about stopping it, but was looking for somewhere close to hike and I discovered this place. It doesn't have any challenging hikes, but it offers a good variety of hiking trail distances. It's almost like a choose your own hike option since each trail gives you an option on which way to go.
Good for families, even your 4 legged family members.

This is an amazing park that was designed decades ago by some forward thinking folks. It is a gem that includes a wonderful wildlife habitat for many birds, coyotes and jack rabbits as well as bob cats. There are hiking trails, walking trails, a fishing pond and clean bathrooms as well as an educational interpretive center. It is free to everyone and is a beautiful gift to the people of Chandler.

I went here to walk my dog based on the amazing reviews of this place. I had no idea how big of a park it is. There is a lake where people can fish and many plants with flowers that attract butterflies. They have many trails, each have an animal or feature of visiting it like one has the burrowing owls, another has hummingbirds and butterflies. I saw many bunnies hopping around in the scrub. The air is so nice there, not only does it feel easier to breathe but the light smell of the flowers is incredible.

This is a dog friendly park with many activities to choose from. Hiking, walking, jogging and fishing are the most popular but there are many picnic ramadas and plenty of birds to spot. Fishing is very popular too. We tried our luck and caught one
Just today I spotted quail, a roadrunner, hummngbird and plenty of other birds, plus cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits.
The Education Center offers lectures and hands on activities for children, and they have a very nice gift shop! Usually there are some snakes in their habitat containers for viewing.
I recommend this park - you will enjoy it.

It is really a nice park to walk or bike in. You feel like you are in the country. There are trails where you can walk short distances or far, and a nice lake with concrete path around it.
