The Crown Jewel of Carefree, and an amazing oasis in the desert, the Carefree Desert Gardens is only one of two public botanical gardens in the Valley located along Easy Street in downtown, Carefree, AZ. The Gardens are open 365 days a year.One of the most prized plants and one not to be missed, is the crested saguaro.

This is like a secret garden in the middle of a small town. Musical groups perform here for free. The Halloween and Xmas decorations and programs are wonderful

It's a great walk just to see their collection of cacti but when it''s all lit up at night for Christmas, it's really special. We went on opening night. There was snow for the kids, food booths and trucks for everyone and grade school singers....More

We had the rare pleasure of an overcast day to stroll the gardens! I strolled the gardens before but there's always been an event going on and you really don't see the beauty that has been created here!

You just walk around here it is totally free! You’ll love it. Restaurants here too. They are truly just gardens to walk around.
