We spent a day here to get away from our resort bungalow, the water is so clear here, tons of coral and fish. Watch out for sea urchins though!

The beach is nice and clean. Great for snorkeling too. It's not too busy during my visit yesterday. The beach access is across the street from Intercontinental Hotel. There is parking too. I encourage you to check it out when visiting the Matira.

This beach is absolutely stunning. My partner and I spent a full day here and it was totally worth it. Crystal clear water, stunning view, and not too crowded (you've got to find the spot that suits you best though). If you stay in Bora...More

Go. It is gorgeous. If you can't stay near there, at least take a snorkeling excursion to get there.

This beach is stunning, clear beautiful and no beach beds to destroy the view. Take a dip in the crustal clear waters or chill on the sand. Take a book. There nothing around to do. Few little beach bars/huts and thats it. Beautiful

This is a beautiful beach, right out of the way on Bora Bora. Didn't seem overly touristy as there were Tahitian people as well as visitors. There are two nice lunch spots overlooking the water, and one had live music the day we were there....More

Since you're staying in Matira I suggest stop by the 2 supermarkets in the town of Vaitape ( Super U or Chin Lee). I am sure it will be less expensive versus buying it from the hotel.

I can't speak to that specific cruise. However, the restaurant is a significant drive from the waterfront in town. Cabs are available, and the restaurant will often offer to pick you up for a reservation.
