Mahay's Jet Boat Adventures is a family owned business that has been in operation for over 30 years. We are located approximately 2 hours north of Anchorage, just 14 miles off the Parks Highway, on your way north to Denali National Park or Fairbanks. There are 3 different tours that you can choose from, with varying lengths and adventure, each offering something different. All trips include our 1/4 mile nature walk where Naturalists will talk with you about the early settlers in the area (the Dena'ina Indians and trappers)and show how basically and rustically they lived with the authentic replications of their dwellings. Our premier trip is the Devil's Canyon Tour where you will be able to experience Class V whitewater in the 45' jet boat, all while staying safe, dry and comfortable. There is also the Three Rivers Tour, where you will travel on the Chulitna River. This river is a braided river which offers a unique and picturesque experience. Alaska is one of 4 areas in the world that has an extensive braided river system.

My husband loved this tour. Our captain was great, he was a lot fun. We had beautiful weather, the captain stopped to allow all of us to take pictures. The box lunch was good this type of food.

Thus was set up for us as part of a tour package. This outing involves getting on a forty person jet boat and going on the river with stops to hear about breeding and training sled dogs and a nature walk with a recreated living...More

Went on this tour and was seriously impressed with the boat handling skills of the skipper in a fast flowing river. Made it a comfortable ride. His knowledge was excellent as well. He is of First Nation descent and passed on a lot more information...More

I don't know which of our captains you had, but you'd be surprised, most of them aren't as young as they look :) It is great that you saw wildlife--it is certainly a bonus on our trips--not always expected but appreciated when it happens. Thank...More

The staff is friendly and the trip is interesting. Not much wildlife seeing with the exception of bald eagles. The river is interesting but basically you take the same route the train does. The white water is fun to see but if you have experienced...More

This was not our favorite adventure on our trip, but it was interesting being on the Susitna River and the guides were interesting. Wildlife is a bit hard to see sometimes, but that's because they are wild. The main guide probably stopped a bit more...More

Yes you can. If you desire, you can leave them on the boat while doing the land portion of the trip. The pilot of the boat stays with the boat, so you can have some degree of security.
