Ashford village is well located on SH! as you come into Ashburton and is well worth a visit. It is home to Ashfords spinning wheels, an excellent cafe and numerous craft shops

This is a fascinating place. They can sell you the stuff you need to card and spin wool; they can also teach you how to do all that. Nice cafe. Great selection of yarns.

Took a very elderly relative for afternoon tea. The staff were so caring and considerate, they couldn't do enough to help us. We did go to the counter to order but the staff would have been more than happy to have done everything for us....More

I wanted to buy a knitting pattern for some wool I had got overseas. The staff were very helpful and patient as I wasn't sure what it was I needed. Very happy to recommend this store to others and shop there again myself.
