You need to go here expecting to spend some time. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see fruits and vegetables that you will never see anywhere else. Because it is for locals, do not expect to find post cards and tourist kitsch. According to our guide, the area is known for its love of camping and this is a campers last stop. Besides food, it has prayer rugs, coffee pots and all kinds of other practical items for camping. An adjacent store has clean restrooms. There are additional stores and markets across the street if you don’t find what you want.

Although it's called Friday Market but the shops are open all week long. It's a nice place to have a small break enroute to Fujairah; fresh fruits and corn available at reasonable price. The main intention was to shop for some rugs however the options were not good enough; also one has to search through heaps of rugs the staff at the shops did not take the effort either to show nor sell. Prices were at par with the quality. Plants were as epensive as we get in mainland Dubai; good collection of handicraft and small local made household items. Overall for me it's an average place and over-rated if I may say.

Everytime I go to Fujairah, I always come here to have my favourite grilled corn. They serve it better here.

If you are looking for cheap and fresh vegetables and fruits you definitely need to visit Friday market. U can find also plants and carpets (not original). Cafeterias offering local food at very good price. Had 2 biryani, haris logemat and karak for 40 dirhams! U would like to try also grilled sweet corn and fresh coconut juice.

When in the middle of the desert, it emerges from no where with selection of fruits and drinks to buy. They have boiled and grilled corn hot and served on the spot.
You can buy carpets of different sizes and kitchen appliances, such as steel pots and crafted baskets. It is a little joy in your way travelling from the western Emirates to eastern province.

We went here as part of a city tour. We hired a taxi to take us around the city. It was about twenty-five minutes away from the cruise terminal. The market is really open 7 days a week and sell everything from pots and pans, fruites and veggies, clothing, carpets handicrafts, souvenirs, etc. To get a reasonable price, you MUST haggle.

We stopped here as part of our shore tour from the ship. Interesting to see, but really it's just another market. Many of the stalls have the same stuff but I will admit the all the fruits and vegies were very well presented and looked fresh. As we were unable to take anything back on the ship it was pointless us buying anything. Lots of homewares etc as well. Even though it's called Friday Markets it's open every day.

Worth the drive from Dubai. Some rugged mountain scenery. As said in recent reviews by other travellers......there is a big variety of goods including souvenirs, fruit and veggies, local crafts, carpets and rugs, food, household items, etc. at stalls and small shops across both sides of the main road. You need to bargain for most items. Only toilets are at the service station.
