This was a nice small museum in Ketchikan. It was a nice stop (especially for a rainy day, which thankfully we did not have). It contains artifacts, pictures and information on the history of the town. Also, it is very near to Creek Street, so...More

We opted not to do any tours in Ketchikan and see the town on our own. The Tongass Museum was a worthwhile stop. As noted, the museum is small, but the exhibits are very well done to show the history of the town. Entry was...More

This small, but well-done museum houses a collection of cultural memorabilia for the area. Easily accessible by free shuttle and near shopping and the walking tour path.

Ketchikan was our first stop on our Alaska cruise and the Tongass Historical museum was our first stop in Ketchikan. I was so glad that we stopped. It gave us a great introduction into the culture of the native people of the area.

This museum was small, with a single gallery, but there was an interesting selection of artefacts and the information boards were good. Well worth the minimal entrance fee.

This museum tells the history of First Nations and settlement in the area. Lots of artifacts and a small cinema showing informative shoes.
