First, when my wife and I were picked up on the minibus we were the last 2 and there were 2 seats in the back where 5 people sit and there was barely enough room for my small wife to sit let alone 2 of us. I was about to walk off the tour bus ( I wish now I had) when a nice lady offered me her seat next to her husband and my wife and her squeezed into the one opening with the pour people next to them being nearly molested! We drove the entire tour this way and we were not able to sit with our spouses. We had pre-ordered “ham picnic lunches” for $15 only to find out the bus driver stopped by a convenience store on the way and handed them to us still in the paper sack. The driver was not mic’d so in the back it was very difficult to hear his comments and our first stop was a museum that we were rushed through because they were about to close. Next to a botanical garden where we were let out to just walk around without any kind of guidance. Then a mad dash to a hatchery because it was closing in 15 minutes! You can imagine how informative that was! Finally to their “beach” where the driver/tour guide asked if we wanted to go walk on it. Well, it was just mud and those that actually got off declined. The tour description mentioned 3 free rockfish tacos so when we were dropped off at our ship he gave us coupons with an address. Good luck finding it!

My family group of 10 had chartered a private 10-person whale watching tour through Alaska Galore in January for an August 2023 excursion. The purchase process was extremely simple & secure, and the communication from Alaska Galore was clear from purchase through post-excursion. Their prices blew away what was provided direct through our cruise which would have been an inferior service. Alaska Galore offered free light snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments, plus provides a service for things like specialty drinks, beer, wine & charcuterie-boards to be provided with the tour at a very reasonable additional cost. We did not use this service, but only because I forgot to order it... Where Alaska Galore really shined, though is when a small-craft advisory was placed in the Juneau area. Since our private charter was considered a small-craft, we could no longer proceed as planned. We were contacted immediately via multiple channels and offered options for our excursion. Alaska Galore offered us a "Semi-Private" experience on a larger double-decker catamaran vessel, where our group and the captain retained the top deck for the extent of the trip. In many ways, I believe this experience was superior - we had a larger, mor stable vessel, a higher vantage point, and a larger crew servicing us. The experience was great, the whales active, and the professionalism of the crew & staff top notch. I would happily utilize them again in the future. They certainly provided an excellent service and handled us with great care!

We saw lot of whales up close rolling and feeding....one came up alongside the boat...could have stepped on it. Very knowledgeable and good boat operator. Highly recommend.

The whale watching trip was phenomenal. Rich was our captain and Nathan was the naturalist. Nathan was knowledgeable and had the perfect personality for this job.
The boat size was just perfect. Rich could swing around quickly to give us all a good area to lookout.
We saw so many whales doing their thing.
The shuttle pick up was great. Rich’s daughter got us altogether and loaded us up. The driver stopped to view Mendenhall Glacier on the way.
What recommend to anyone!!

Your naturalist dale was so informative . The captain and dale worked so well together . We were fortunate enough to see bubble feeding in a group of about 10 and two smaller groups . They also stopped off to show us the sea lions . A great day !! Will be sharing with others my satisfaction! Loved the small boat .
