My wife and I took the NCL cruise Seattle round trip through Alaska. One of the excursions offered were for this private luxury whale watch which I believe ran about $600. Since I saw the type of boat and knew that they only took 8 people max, I thought the price was very reasonable since most boats cram in a 100+ and this promised a much better opportunity to get some nice photos. I love whale watching and generally if I am somewhere that offers it, I will be there. This is my fourth trip and 8th whale watching trip in Alaska alone. I have to say that I was extremely thankful that I took this excursion. It is highly likely that I may never again come to Alaska (too many other places left to see) so it was fantastic that my last whale watching excursion is currently the best in my entire life. We saw at least 20 different whales, humpbacks and orcas, a total breech and several partial breeches, and one thing I had never seen before was bubblenet feeding. Not only was this my first time seeing it, I was able to watch it four different times on the same trip. The two ladies (captain and crew) were very friendly and knowledgeable. They had snacks of fruit, cakes, salmon, wines and essentially spoiled us. Do not hesitate to take this tour, it is well worth the money and a once in a lifetime experience.
