$29 tram ride up to Seven Glaciers Restaurant, a buffet/cafe, and the Roundhouse which is a museum and gift shop. The view is spectacular (weather permitting). Since Girdwood is in a rain forest (over 80" precipitation/yr) you may not get such a great view. Viewing...More

Beautiful artwork and jewelry, snow gloves based upon historical gloves. A nod to native art, but very acceptable for people not familiar with native art styles. Decent section for kids (although I did not shop this section) but looked like quality products.

I am terrified of heights and almost chose not to go, so glad I decided to make the trip up the mountain. The gondola ride to the top wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be and the view from the top was...More

There were lots of history books of the area for sale and even items kids would like. In the middle of the store was a 3-D relief map showing the different locations of the mountains, glaciers and where you are now.

Breathtaking view in Summer I can't imagine how beautiful it would be in winter. The ski lifts go further up the mountain right past the Roundhouse/

Its actually a little more than a gift shop as there are plaques and pictures of the history of Girdwood. As you walk around there is a great view of the mountains. A little model of the mountain and glaciers puts into perspective where you...More

What a view and unique gift shop with history, do go in and have a look and look at the artefacts albeit small the Roundhouse has great history for the Girdwood area and some great localised gifts.

The roundhouse is located at the top of the aerial tramway. it is a museum and gift shop. There is a deck that goes all the way around it and allows you to view the whole valley
