We did a private couples tour with Ngaa which was a great half day. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to his property where we worked together to prepare lunch as the islanders once did over the fire pit....with delicious results....More

They picked us from our hotel in a Land Rover with running commentary from the guide/ driver, we picked some leafs which we made plates to eat our lunch from, went to the purpose made cultural area which is pretty small where we learnt more...More

We really enjoyed our time on this tour, especially the hands on activities and the Umu ! Make sure you take insect repellent or you'll be eaten alive by mosquitos when at the ancient pa site. A must do when in Aitutaki.More

We absolutely loved our time with Ngaa and his nephews. We really enjoyed getting to know the history and customs of the island in a totally authentic and non-commercial way (Ngaa does tours in order to fund his true passion - teaching the local children)....More
