Maybe from outside its look like any other church but from inside you´ll see something different. I was fascinated with all that colored columns in the inside. Do not miss it! Get in!

This is a pretty average church, that seems to be under constant repair. The times that I have tried to go inside it has not been open to the public. If you were not already in the area I wouldn't recommend a special trip to...More

It is an active church, beautiful inside. Park across the street is full with homeless people and people who beg for money. So be careful walking to the church.

This structure was the first major building that I saw when I was on the way to the city centre from Juan Santamaria International Airport. Surely, you won't miss it if you enter the city center from the highway 2/Avenue 2

Once again worth stopping in if it is on your path. Nice windows. Interesting architecture. Active church. Not sure there's any need to go out of your way to see it though.

It’s under some construction now.... in the center of town. Another church in Latin America. What else can I say?

This is a lovely church & the inside, particularly the stained glass at the front, is beautiful. What is most beautiful is that it is still obviously a very active church, so there are many people there in worship throughout the day.

This church dates to 1894 but construction was not completed until 1907 with the installation of the tower clock. The church has three interior naves under a continuous ogive. The central nave is the highest, fifteen meters, while the aisles are nine meters. Beautiful mosaic...More

This church has a very unusual decoration inside, painted columns and a wooden ceiling, quite lovely.

The afternoon photo from La Merced Park that includes the large Diquis Sphere in front of the soaring red spire of this church is enough reason to visit. But the interior is the real gem with 2 rows of 50' pencil thin painted wooden columns...More
