For family of four with two teens, it was a perfect morning outing. It is free, easy to get to in car, Uber or taxi. Museum is free, in Spanish only, and can be done in little over 1 hour. The sculpture garden is nice,...More

We spent about an hour going through the gallery and we really enjoyed the exhibits, as well as the beautiful building itself. It doesn't need much time as its rather small, but the fact that its free is a bonus! It is about a 25-min...More

This was our last stop on our last day of a 2 1/2 week trip sightseeing in Costa Rica. We really enjoyed the artwork—both indoors and outdoors. Upstairs there is a lovely room that is composed entirely of wooden carved artwork on all four walls...More

We took a local bus to get to this museum but ended up not spending a lot of time in it. The building itself is beautiful but personally, I wasn't that crazy about the art that was displayed inside. There is a nice sculpture garden...More

The adults and kids had a good time at the museum. There's a variety of art pieces on the ground floor and the view from the top floor is gorgeous. There are sculptures in the back for historical knowledge and good photo opportunities. The bathrooms...More

I am ashamed to write this review, because I love culture and try to support emerging museums. Nevertheless, I think this museum has some poor exhibitions and they could take a better advantage of the excellent geographical spaces they have. In addition, this museum has...More

Very interesting to know the Costa Rica history is engraved in the walls of the museum entrance. The sculptures were also impressive and the garden was beautiful.

We dragged our kids, but we all had a great time once there. The sculpture garden made a great spot for taking pictures (kids imitating the statues...). Beautiful and interesting way to spend an hour+.

This is a great place to visit. It is a beautiful building with lots of beautiful statues and displays. We really enjoyed spending time here. The best part of all is there is no entrance fee to enjoy a wonderful place.

Not only because is a museum dedicated to the Art of Costa Rica, but also because its building holds a lot of history, as it was the internationala airport for the country before the opening of the new one. worth a visit

It's for free. Do not expect a large museum, though, in case you are used to the large European museums. It's basically composed of a large main hall at the entrance, two small rooms at the North side, about a Southern room... More
