Overview

Rainmaker is one of the most important and impressive rainforest ecosystems in Costa Rica. The park has a very old growth forest which we consider as a primary ecosystem. During the nature walk along the trails in the park you'll have the chance of enjoying from the many waterfalls and ocean views from the top of the virgin forest. The fauna in the park is diverse; such as birds and reptiles.

This was one of our most enjoyable hikes. Lots of butterflies, birds and fauna. It is a moderate hike with lots of steps, dirt trails, suspension bridges and river swimming. Very clear as to the path. I was a poison dart frog! Made my hike....More

We took this tour with Juan from Jade Tours (having read TripAdvisor reviews). Juan was excellent and highly knowledgeable. He spotted things one could never even dream of. He had a telescope which allowed us to take some amazing shots! Thanks!

Well worth the $20. It’s a rugged walk through a real rain forest. The hanging bridges are awesome. Saw only 2 people the whole walk and that was for just a few seconds. Place to swim by the falls.

This trip was expensive, for Costa Rica. Our guide was fairly knowledgable but somewhat commercial. We were made to feel a little bit like a cash cow tourist, without the usual costa rican hospitality. The hike was challenging and fun. We saw very little wildlife,...More

We were so disappointed with Manuel Antonio's crowds and trails, despite seeing a ton of wildlife. Rainmaker changed everything. Rainmaker is everything that we were expecting for a hike in Costa Rica. We got to Rainmaker about 8AM and were the first hikers on the...More

Hola Meredy, There are no hotels nearby the Rainmaker Park. I suggest you to stay in Quepos or Manuel Antonio. Both places are located approx 40 minutes away. Kind regards!!

There is not. I wore my bathing suit and a pair of Nike capri compression pants. It was super hot the day we went but I stayed comfortable with all the shade from the trees.
