This is a fascinating tour of how pineapples are grown and the differences between organic and convent oak growing techniques. We were warmly welcomed and received a great tour from real pineapple lovers. After trying samples, I admit I am a pineapple lover now too! I would really recommend this tour to everyone, it’s more than worth the money. The ease of being able to arrange to come via WhatsApp also made it very easy.

We were the first guests since the borders had opened up In Costa Rica for International tourists. The owner Rolando started the tour and was relived by the normal guide Michael. Rolando provided us a fascinating explanation of his experiment with using carbon (burying old wood underground for a few days and turning it into a grindable powder to sprinkle in the soil) as an organic strategy to better grow pineapples. Michael explained the challenges and benefits of organic pineapple farming operations. He wowed us with his amazing dexterity with his machete to transform a pineapple into an edible 'lollipop'. We met the amazing workers whose hard work and dedication make the farm work so efficiently. We need with fresh pineapple juice that tasted more like nectar and was absolutely delicious. Overall, we gained an appreciation for the organic process and why it justifies the pricing premium that is charged at grocery stores. An excellent behind the scenes perspective!

We took our two kids on this tour and we all loved it! We learned so much about organic farming and what sets organic produce apart from conventional produce. Rolando took us out in a comfortable covered trailer pulled by an enormous tractor. The tractor ride through the pineapple fields was itself a big thrill for the kids! During the tour we had the most delicious pineapple we’ve ever had in all different forms -- freshly cut from the plant, as juice, pina coladas, marmalade, and even in empanadas! Rolando was so warm, knowledgeable and energetic. He’s also terrific with kids. This tour is a hidden gem that shouldn’t be missed! Going on the tour also supports an organic family farm. We recommend it 100%!

We had a great time on our tour with Rolando. We were the only ones on the tour at that time, so it was very informal. Rolando took us out in the pineapple fields on one of their wagons pulled by a tractor, so we didn't need to get in the mud since it had just rained. He took us through the whole process of growing pineapples organically which was extremely interesting and fun. We were able to pick and sample our own pineapples and at the end, we were served fresh pina coladas (without the alcohol since it was pretty early in the morning). We would highly recommend this tour for any age.

The Pineapple tour was one of the BEST tours we have completed in Costa Rica! The staff was very friendly, fun, kind, knowledgeable and well rounded! The pineapple straight from the farm was DELICIOUS!!! It is simple to arrive here by car, it took us two hours from Alajuela. I would make extra time because the drive there from Alajuela is BEAUTIFUL! With waterfalls, nature, and wildlife! We highly highly suggest also booking the Peppercorn Tour! Don Juan and his wife are really lovely people with huge hearts! It takes a lot of work to grow peppercorn and we were excited to purchase 6 bags off of him! He had different and fun fruits to try, and gave us a big hug when we left! For us it was $40 for the pepper corn and the pineapple tour and took around 2.5 hours! At the conclusion of the tour we drank the BEST piña colada’s I’ve ever had in my life, splurged on some empanadas and piña jam! They accept credit card! I do have to mention that I REALLY struggled getting information from this organization. I don’t want to knock the score of their review but I feel that it needs to be noted. I believe that this company purchased the old company with this name so there are currently two websites under the same domain. The “Contact Us” form on their website does not load, and they do not reply to WhatsApp messages. Our last resort was Facebook. My partner and I both messaged them attempting to get more information. While we could see they read the message, their responses took longer than a day, occasionally 2 to respond. Again, this is my only critique and I’m sure it is one that can be easily adjusted!
