We have LOVED the service provided by Mardigi Tours, at their office in the Hilton Garden Inn in Liberia. We got stuck because our flight was rescheduled and were in a bad mood. However, we were assisted in such a friendly way by Daniela from Mardigi Tours, that we soon forgot our worries and made the best out of our extra days. Their excellent driver (and guide!) Dicgiana brought us to Playa Hermosa, where we stayed 2 more nights, and picked us up again afterwards to bring us to the airport. During the ride she passionately told us about Costa Rica and about her own life, and the consequences of the pandemic. When I asked where we could find a supermarket to buy some detergent to wash our clothes, she immediately offered to stop at the local store so we wouldn't have to walk too far to get to the supermarket. In other words, excellent service, and if we come back to Costa Rica we FOR SURE want to travel with Dicgiana and the team again. Highly recommended!! <3 from Belgium

I went on two separate tours with Mardigi and happened to have Cristian as my tour guide both times. Simply phenomenal. He is a walking/driving encyclopedia who will teach you about the history of costa rica and all of its ecology. He is passionate about the flora and fauna of this beautiful country, which will inspire you to fall in love with it as well. For the Arenal Rainforest and Hot Springs tour, we enjoyed a local breakfast and continued on to the rainforest, where Cristian gave us explanations of all the plants and animals we encountered. He carried a large scope the whole time for us to get better views of the animals. This included 4 separate sloths! From there, we went on to a local lunch, followed by an afternoon at the hot springs. All the travel was in a private comfortable air-conditioned car stocked with water bottles, ponchos, and bug spray. For the Sloth Adventure and Chocolate tour, we first stopped by cacao farm. The family run business was a beautiful property to explore, and we were introduced to all the different plants they grow. We drank fresh coconut water and ate cacao fruit off the tree. We then learned how the cacao seeds become chocolate, with plenty of tastings along the way. This was followed by a local lunch and a walk through a sloth sanctuary, for an additional 3 sloth sightings (and an additional baby sloth!). Cristian even talked to a howler monkey we passed by. All in all, this tour company is really amazing, and they are highly recommended.

After a big mishap and change in travel plans, I ended up with a couple of free days in Costa Rica. I was able to book this tour last minute and I'm so glad it worked out! It was a packed day of fun activities, most of which I've never done before. The highlight of the whole experience was my tour guide, Gabriel. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He is a wealth of information and taught me so much about Costa Rica, its wildlife, and the culture itself. We bonded over our shared love of coffee and he made me laugh all day long. He even took me on a guided hike to see several beautiful waterfalls. In terms of the activities, the tubing was by far the most fun. I felt very safe in all of the activities.Overall, I have no complaints about this tour experience at all! If you go, make sure Gabriel is your guides, as he's the best of the best! Whatever he's being paid, it should be doubled!

We did the Rio Celeste and Monteverde Hanging Bridges and Coffee tours both with Cristian, and he was the best tour guide we've ever had. He is so knowledgeable, I think he must be a savant. He really knew everything there was to know about wildlife, plants, geology, pretty much anything you want to know about Costa Rica, even coffee. He was like a walking encyclopedia. He was also so friendly and kind and engaging. He really made the tour memorable for us. We also saw tucans, a sloth, and white-face monkeys on our tours--he was VERY good at spotting them!
