Our group of 9 had a wonderful tour with our guide, Alonzo. The cave was much more expansive then I imagined. We made our way through all the tight spaces - some of us laughing, some smiling, some nervous - but we all did it...More

The staff at the caves was so wonderful. Really nice people that care a lot about nature and education. My sister and I lucked out with a private tour because it was a slow time. We learned a lot and saw lots of cool things...More

We visited in 2004 and were excited to return with our niece again this year. We had a great time. Our guide made sure to point out the cool formations and wildlife. There wasn't a lot of explanation or narrative; the tour is more about...More

This is a great spot and lots of fun! It's good for all levels of adrenaline seekers. They have tight spaces to crawl through, but don't worry if that's not your thing, you can bypass. There is also a waterfall in the cave which was...More

This tour was so fun! We saw spiders, crawled in tiny spaces, and got SOAKING wet. Definitely a great experience and fun for the whole family! If you are claustrophobic, DON'T WORRY! Some of the tight spaces are optional and we were with someone who...More

Caves are small so you won’t be impressed by the sheer size of it but it’s fun to go through all the tight, small spots. At $28 a person it is overpriced though. Don’t pay a tour company $80 a person, just drive there yourself...More

Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Our tour guide, Victor, was really into it the entire time. Be ready to get wet, get hot, climb, crawl on all fours and sweat in this 90/120-minute tour! If you are close to Arenal or Fortuna, consider going to Venado...More

My wife and I explored the caves with our two boys (6 & 8yrs). I was a bit worried about being claustrophobic but not once did I feel overwhelmed or worried. It was a complete adventure for all of us. Our guide (Alonso) was incredible,...More

We made the trip without a reservation and were quickly set up with our guide. Personal service, informative fun guide. What an experience! More rugged an experience than a similar excursion in Mexico - this felt more adventurous. Physically you may want to be somewhat...More

Hi, I believe you should allow two hours to get there, as it's quite a long drive. The guide will give you the pick-up times in advance anyway. Hope it helps
