I guided myself by the monument. It makes easier to locate yourself plus, its location is central and close to everything.

Wow, what can you say about half a block of concrete. This is a very poor excuse for a plaza. Two empty food stands, no trees, no benches, nothing to deflect the heat, and situated in the hottest part of Alajuela. The only thing that...More

It is a simple plaza with one simple statue, but very tastefully and artistically presented! It is across the street from the Juan Santamaria Historical Cultural Museum, so see them together, then enjoy Alajuela's Central Park and Cathedral nearby.
