This is one of the prettiest places n Selma. The huge Live Oak trees give it a very serene and peaceful atmosphere. There are Civil War area gravesites here. Great site for history!

I love cemeteries! This one is small, charming and very easy to get around and explore. Just a couple blocks off highway 80.

To be honest, the cemetery is so huge we were only able to walk through half of it. There are dates ranging from the 1800s to present. The setting itself is gorgeous. Moss covered trees lining pathways or draping over long forgotten graves. Some family...More

Visited with my sister. The trees are lovely with the moss. The veneration and adoration of Nathan Bedford Forrest was disturbing.

Loved the live oaks with the spanish moss hanging everywhere. The cemetery has some beautiful stones and statuaries. Some of the graves are very old. Wish we would've brought mosquito spray. Suggest the city install speed bumps on King St since it cuts right thru...More

This is a beautiful and historic cemetery. From the 200 plus year old moss covered oaks to the ornate Sylacauga marble monuments it is a must see.

The walking tours available for Selma reveal a variety of homes and histories. It is a little more local history than I needed, but better too much than too little. The cemetery manifests that same variety among the honored dead.

How beautiful and serene is this cemetery draped in Spanish moss. This is one of the loveliest old cemeteries we have seen. It is worth a stroll through this gorgeous spot to convene with nature and history.

I love to visit old cemeteries, so I've been to quite a few and I have to say this one is the most beautiful one I've seen. The trees are covered with Spanish Moss and I imagine it would be quite daunting at night, but...More

Having visiting some cemeteries in New Orleans and quite a few others throughout the Deep South, I didn't expect that the most lovely one would be in Selma. Spanish moss drapes down from all of the trees, and creates a hauntingly beautiful landscape. It's well...More

When I visited, I do not remember seeing any posted hours for visiting. It was a public cemetery, stroll as you please:) I am unaware of any formal tours.
