This exhibit was informational and could have been more light. There were not too many people and we could walk easy through the facility. Our son thought some of the wax figures were pretty cool.

Situated at the base of the Opel Tower, this is a very interesting museum to learn how Shanghai was 'discovered', developed and form to the vibrant city it is today. The models are a tad dated (and smelly!) but it is all very interesting and...More

did not even know about the museum before we returned from the tower - so did not expect much, when we noticed it. It is perfect, could stay there for another hour or more! Not too packed with exhibits, so gives you time to immerse...More

This museum, located in the base of the Oriental Tower, is truly a delight. It’s a great museum of Shanghai’s history told not through endless reading but though wax figures, props and other objects. It makes learning fun.

On our way down from the observation deck at the Oriental Pearl Tower (see my review), we unloaded next to the entry to the museum. I'm a sucker for museums, and this one is very good! Follow the exhibits in order, and you'll see how...More

Much of what you see in Shanghai is relatively new compared to, say, Beijing, but it is no less fascinating. The museum does a good job of recreating colonial-era Shanghai and presents events through a Chinese prism. The displays are a bit amateurish and the...More

I cannot really say but would advise that you ask the museum if they provide wheel chairs. I can only confirm that the place is wheel chair friendly. I am really sorry for not being able to assist in this matter.
