The only reason for the 4 stars is that the memorial itself is under reconstruction. We came to Montgomery to pay tribute to the civil rights movement - to remember, to learn, and to find hope through the courage displayed. We recalled what Dr. King...More

We’re so sorry about the constant construction. We’ve made some significant upgrades and should be up and running for the long haul next week. #TheMarchContinues

My family and I stopped here while visiting Montgomery. The museum justly memorializes more than 40 citizens who died during the civil rights area. The outdoor memorial was under construction during our visit so we didn't see it but all in all I reccomend visiting.

The museum was very interesting and I enjoyed the film. It was disappointing that the memorial was undergoing construction so we weren’t able to see it.

It was very moving! Watch the short film about how the Civil Rights Movement was started. The infinity pool was under construction at the time we went, but might want to check before you go. Great staff!
