This 90 minute narrated trolley tour of Mobile is highly recommended. Our guide Arthur was excellent - very knowledgeable and personable. We found the tour to be the perfect way to get a sense and appreciation of this historic city.

I'm a believer in taking a tour of any city where I'm going to be a tourist for a few days very early in my visit. That's especially good advice in Mobile, Ala., where the City of Mobile Trolley Tour does an excellent job of orienting you and getting you a fix on places you want to visit. The tour offers a dozen hop-on & off locations, but we just took in the nearly two hour tour with Arthur, who takes great pride and has a lot of knowledge about his adopted community. Typically three tours in mid-day. Takes you past the USS Alabama, many historic homes, interesting architecture and offers good advice about must-see locations (and, if you ask, restaurant advice, too).

We booked the trolley tour of Mobile. For a very reasonable fee of $15 we got about an hour or more tour of the exterior of many of the attractions in Mobile. We got off at a couple of places and spent a few minutes then got back on board and went to the next stop. Our guide and driver was very knowledgeable of the history, attractions, and restaurants in Mobile and was very helpful. There was a light load on the trolley and it was great weather and very comfortable. After the tour we were able to decide on a lot of the attractions and restaurants that we wanted to visit later. This is a good tour of a very beautiful city.

We had parked outside the Visitor Centre intending to obtain walking info on Mobile and saw Arthur was about to set off on a trolley trip. Serendipity. It was an effortless way to find out so much of interest about Mobile and see the sites, some of which we would never have found ourselves and indeed couldn't find again even with a Sat. Nav. after the event when we tried to return to them for photographs. Not even worth considering thru bus windows notwithstanding we didn't want to miss anything. Over a couple of hours Arthur drove around Mobile and then thru the scary John Bankhead Tunnel to the Military Park in Mobile Bay where the much loved SS Alabama Battleship is proudly moored along with many other famous and amazing exhibits of planes, tanks, ships and boats. Just hearing the inspirational story of the acquisition of the SS Alabama and her arrival home in Mobile then her damage from Katrina was worth the bus trip price but when another couple on board had more personal info about Scouts Sleepovers to add it was just perfect. We're foreigners but were impressed. Then Arthur returned to Mobile and found more places to show us and had more historical stories and facts. It was an outstanding trip and all so interesting immediately we got off we wanted to return to many places again by ourselves. I suggested to Arthur after his trips he should hand out a fact sheet to passengers to enable further study of historical facts and stories which piqued curiosity and which we did manage to do but also to aid return visits to the locations visited. Case in point during the bus trip we noted lovely streets and houses Cnr Church St & Savannah and Arthur gave my husband detailed instructions. In spite of much determination and a succession of helpful people, a Policewoman, hotel staff, retailers and the GPS we never managed to return for photos and a walk around. But would never have seen any of it had it not been for the bus tour with Arthur and his adorable black fluffy sidekick Oliver.

Excellent way to learn about the history and get an overview of the City. An air conditioned trolley. Good Value. Advertisement described a "hop on hop off" option but that didn't seem to be the case, possibly because we were in the off-season. If you want the hop on hop off option you should ask the specifics before booking.

The trollies were all rented out for weddings, so the Mobile tour was in an air conditioned luxury van. Very nice! We saw a great cross section of the city, viewing all of the highlights. Arthur, our driver, shared his passion for the city by providing a wealth of history, general information and trivia regarding Mobile. We did follow one of his recommendations and went back to the Richards House Museum for a tour. The Mobile tour was excellent in content and fun! We wholeheartedly recommend this tour!

We hired a trolley for my daughter’s wedding. Since the minimum time you can rent is 4 hours ($795) I was very clear that in addition to transporting wedding party from hotel to church and back to reception, I also wanted the trolley to take out of town guests and family from carnival museum to church and return . The driver took the wedding party to the church and then stayed at the church. By the time someone told me he was still there, the guests had paid for Uber to transport them to church. They were unwilling to work with me about only performing half of the contract and offered me $100 refund . The Uber rides were more than that not to mention upsetting the bride and several elderly family members. Very disappointed.
