Eye opening tour, with lovingly preserved Peranakan homes and a friendly informative guide. Would definitely recommend this as a destination!

Well worth a visit to the heritage museum. The tour probably lasts about an hour. Really interesting insight into the culture of this small Chinese/Malay population.

Worth visiting to get to know how rich families lived in the past. A lot of interesting artefacts and well-presented information in a self-guide. Entrance fee is nominal.

Very well presented. Rooms and artifacts well presented. I found the kitchen and bathroom the most interesting part. Entry fee reasonable.

Recommend the guided tour which provide more insight into this Peranakan family history. Free to walk around the museum which is actually the old house, after the guided tour.

We couldn’t time it to have the guided tour but the ‘self guide’ with handbook was still a great visit.

This is one of the better 'mansion' museum visits we've been on. Admission is a reasonable price and includes a very clear self guide tour book. Photography isn't allowed within the building, which I think improves the experience as you aren't constantly bumping into folk...More

The museum is the actual house of a well-off Baba Nyonya family in Melaka. The interior is undoubtedly traditional Chinese, yet some elements from area can be found. The meaning of each decoration is explained in a booklet — one has to look it up...More

For me this was the best place we went in Melaka. It really showed the history of the Chinese culture that is unique to Melaka, and the family living situation. Our tour guide was excellent and her English was very good. We were with a...More
