It's a village by any standard. Or you can say a town. Name if beach derived from the town. But it has many restaurants from shacks to small to big. Bars abundant. Shopping abundant. Transport- local buses, auto-rickshaws... More

The beach in benaulim is very good and clean and yes 1 week is good enough you can hire a bicycle or bike or car and travel around , lots of eating joints around
