The Huntsville Botanical Garden is open year-round and boasts a picture perfect aquatic garden, a spectacular wildflower and nature trail and numerous specialty gardens and plant collections. The Children’s Garden and Nature Center contain the nation’s largest seasonal butterfly house and eight specialized gardens aimed toward the younger set. Children and adults alike will enjoy a stroll through the dinosaur garden, the space garden, storybook garden and more. Family festivals include Beaks and Barks, Huntsville Blooms, the Scarecrow Trail, and the nationally recognized Galaxy of Lights, and be sure not to miss our annual summer exhibits, designed to appeal to children and families. The Garden also has a gift shop, indoor and outdoor facility rental options, and education programs for all ages. The Garden is a privately run 501c3 non-profit, which receives a majority of its support from garden members, supporters, and corporate donors.

We attended a wedding at Huntsville Botanical Gardens and were impressed. The outdoor venue for the wedding was beautiful and the gardens were well maintained. Certainly worth an hour or two while you are in Huntsville.

Spent several hours enjoying the splendid gardens. Enjoyed the mythical creatures scattered about and lovely views. The butterfly house was very nice, saw one variety I had never seen. Would love to return in cooler weather.

It was a major surprise to find such nice garden! They do a great job keeping flowers in bloom and landscaping. The staff and workers were very friendly. We were told there were more than 200 volunteers. Don't miss the cafe with its fresh dishes.

This botanical garden is absolutely beautiful. I only wish it hadn’t been 96 degrees and sunny when we went! That said, the walk around the paved path with a stop in the butterfly pavilion was well worth the sweat. For those interested in gardening, you...More

Accompanied a friend for a magical breakfast event. They ran out of breakfast which was disappointing but after a long wait, we were served a little bit. The children’s activities were good but I feel could have used some more hostesses walking around to encourage...More

As if the gardens aren’t fabulous enough to draw you in, they’ve added a fun extra this summer. Sprinkled throughout the park are a series of sculptures of mythical subjects. Some are dainty and small others are over ten feet tall. All are in “living”...More

No cart rentals that I saw. Wheelchair is required for distance if the patient is in need. You will have a hard time on some inclines but it is worth it.
