Guide was personable and was a wealth of knowledge. Great customer service and our group had a blast! Saw a couple dolphins swinging close to us but even without that we enjoyed the scenery and experience!

I will start by saying there was not much to see in the way of wildlife...ghee I guess that is why they are called "wild"... unpredictable, but Chris was amazing, he could not conjure up dolphins or other wildlife on demand, but he made the trip so entertaining. As others have written, he was funny, full of stories and history. I like the fact they accommodated me in a single kayak since I was a solo participant. Now if they would just offer an ice-cold beer after the trip.....just saying.

We took a group of 8 ranging in ages from 16-75. Chris was fantastic and was a really great tour guide, sharing a lot of knowledge and stories. The equipment was in good condition--Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, dry boxes, squirt guns, and water. We did not know that the kayaks were tandems when we selected the tour-most of our group would have preferred singles. Lots of good kayak instructions provided for the newer kayaker. Very little to see during this trip. Chris said that the wildlife was being elusive. The trip was on the boring side. We saw brown pelicans and an egret. I think Chris is great and was very enjoyable, but if you want to see wildlife, this isn't the excursing for you.

We had a great time on this trip with Chris. Saw a lot of dolphins, eagles, osprey, and more. Chris kept us entertained throughout and was carefully watching the weather and adjusting our route as needed. Highly recommend! Fun family excursion.

Chris was great! Funny, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our group had several people who had never kayaked before and everyone had a wonderful experience. We saw some dolphins in the middle of the tour. Right after the tour ended some dolphins started feeding right in front of us and Chris got our attention so we could come back to the water to watch them.

We had a great time and Chris was a great guide. Although we didn’t see any dolphins it was still a fun experience. For those of you looking for dolphins I might go somewhere else. The experience was awesome but it would’ve been nice to see dolphins. I know this is not a guarantee with any dolphin tour but the kayak really limit your ability to go find them. But Chris is knowledge of the local history in the area made up for it.

Our Dolphin Kayak Tour with Chris was amazing!! We got lucky and saw dolphins as soon as our paddles hit the water. "Stripe" a local dolphin put on a show that none of us will ever forget. Chris, our guide, was super informative, funny and a great motivator as we paddled home in the wind. We had a great trip and would highly recommend this tour. We have done several other kayak trips in other places and this one was top notch.

I don't see why you couldn't. It is a large pontoon boat. We saw Dolphins the day we went out.

My Husband , and I are going to be there Friday!!
What time , and where do we go to your location
To leave for the cruise for seeing dolphins, and sunset!! I have no idea ?? This is a big boat right??
Sincerely Deborah Sytnik
Deborah,
Our tour boats are big (40 feet). However, we do not run our dolphin tours in Gulf Shores this time of year. We do offer our guided Dolphins at Sunset Kayak Tour there year round. That tour is available next weekend. We do run boat tours year round at our Spanish Fort location which is just outside Mobile, Alabama.

Do you serve alcoholic beverages like wine on the boat or food??
We do not serve food or beverages on our tours. However, we do allow guests to bring their own food or drinks, including alcohol.
Let us know if you have any additional questions. We hope to see you soon.

Could you please let me know if you think we would be able to make it. We are 77 but in pretty good shapeother than arthritis in knees. Thanks

I think you should be fine. The only caution would be for someone terribly overweight. Also on the day we went they changed the course due to the extreme heat, and that took us to much choppier water farther out into the channel. I hope you enjoy it- it is beautiful.

Can you book tours in November?
Elizabeth,
Our Coastal Eco Tours run until November 3rd of 2017. After that, we won't offer boat tours until early next year. However, our guided kayak tours to Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge and our Dolphins at Sunset Kayak Tour are offered year round.

Is this just inland type boating or does it go out further? I get seasick very easy but pontoon rides on a lake I'm ok. How long is the tour and is there a restroom on board. Some of the group wanted to know.
Belinda,
This is an inland tour in calm seas. The tours are 1.5 hours long and there is a restroom on board. Please let us know if the group has any more questions. We hope to see you soon.
Do you have to stay there in order to take the tour??

The location in Gulf Shores doesn't have lodging of any sort. We made a reservation early AM for a tour that afternoon and had no problem getting seats.
