Gulf State Park's two miles of beaches greet you with plenty of white sun-kissed sand, surging surf, seagulls and sea shells, but there is more than sand and surf to sink your toes into. Inside Gulf State Park there is a championship golf course, new beach pavilion, rental cottages, tennis courts, camp sites, 27 miles of paved/enhance trails and a fishing pier that is 20-feet wide and extends 1,512 feet into the Gulf. This and much more make Gulf State Park the perfect in-state vacation or out-of-state adventure.

Had a wonderful time on two visits riding the trails. Had a wonderful time. 2 requests please. 1 permanent directional signs. 2 map of the park posted on big signs. Definitely a hidden gem in the area.

Very clean park with fishing pier. It's worth the 3 dollars per person to walk the pier. We saw sharks and stingrays. You can also swim here. Cute little outdoor restaurant with drinks on the pier.

I highly recommend this place. I have been there two years in a row to the campground. You get a lot of amenities for the price. I stayed in a primitive tent site. They are roomy and private, with lots of trees. The primitive tent...More

We visited Gulf State Park for a portion of the day, and by no means did it justice. Located across from the Gulf, it offers walking and biking trails, a nature center, a fishing pier and even a golf course. My dogs enjoyed the dog...More

This is a beautiful place to camp. Spent one week here, and I feel I just scratched the surface of what is available. Bike trails are very well maintained and plentiful. There is an 18 hole golf course in the park, nice. Full service level...More

There are only a few primitive camp sites. We stayed at site number 5. It was shady, but a little close to some water. Alligators and snakes were a concern. I did see one scary brown snake. We rented bikes from the camp store and...More

Very well maintained with a nice number of rest areas throughout the trail system. Lots of opportunities to see wildlife. I cant wait to get back to it in the fall.

I agree with the previous respondents. The tent sites are nice and not too far from a bathhouse. They have their own parking
