The Imagination Place stimulates a child’s creativity, interaction with others and gives them an outlet for all that energy! They love it and parents and grandparents love it!
They clean every day 1-2pm which I really like. I am a member which allows the whole family to go and we take full advantage of it!

Was in Gadsden for the lights at the falls. It had rained all day, and the kids were restless and had to get them out of the campers. A nice two hour break to let them run and play with the old town and ice encounter. Kids really enjoyed it and were tired when we went to dinner. For a smaller town, this is great place for the kids on a rainy day. Planning on going again next year for the lights and imagination station.

We carried a 2 year old and 7 year old on the Friday after July 4th and it was not crowded. We used Groupon to get discounted admission. I think the most favorite area was the health clinic. We had to visit it several times. The big blue block room was another favorite!! Great place to visit and beat the summer heat!!

My parents bought a membership for my little ones and we love it. My daughter wants to go everyday. The target age would be 2-8. There are new things that come quarterly to keep it fun and interesting. You can go for a day or a year.

We visited "Imagination Place" on a Saturday afternoon in March, there were a couple birthday parties going on at the same time. While it was very crowded while all the kids were playing, it was empty when they dispersed to have cake and open presents. Overall, much less crowded than the McWane typically is on the weekends. We were able to use our McWane Membership in Birmingham for free reciprocity which was an unexpected treat. They also have a groupon available for extra savings if you don't have a McWane membership. My son had a great time and I loved watching the gleeful expression on his face!

My husband and I brought my son here to play since it was so cold outside! We found a groupon for 2 people for $10. Children under 2 are free. He really enjoyed the snow exhibit. The train exhibit upstairs was very neat to see and probably geared more towards older kids and adults. But our loved watching the train go around the model of downtown Gadsden. The Imagination place area just for the kids was a real treat for him. All the "little town" area was just his size. He really loved the construction zone and the grocery store. Some of the stuff looks worn but it is being handled by young children all day so that is to be expected. Overall, we would return if we were back in the area and could use another groupon. Great for when the kids are out of school and they can't play outside.

Way back when, we took our young kids to this place and had a lot of fun playing with the library, store and construction zones. So I thought I would go back to the place. Now they a have private area where mother's can nurse their kids or change their diapers. They still have a library where you can read books to your kids or help them read. Also there are stations thoughout where the kids can read and if they finish all stations they get a free book! This is just the place for a family to spend a hot or cold day. As the place is heated/cooled your kids and you will be comfortable. You can reserve rooms that have two cars & a train that they can ride for birthday parties Price is $8.00 each for all day. This includes the HO train set and the Art Museum. They are many ways, if you are short of cash, of gaining entry. Just ask one of the helpful guides. They want you and your family to see this great place
