It feels safe. We are able to set our tents up right at the waters edge. We are also allowed to fish from our campsite. So very relaxing.

Wheeler lake is large. Lots of distance between locks for boating. Not many places to dine by boat. Lots of natural scenery.

I have a summer home that overlooks Wheeler Lake. The beauty and the peacefulness of the river will take away any stress or worry on your mind. This lake is excellent for recreational use, fishing, skiing, sight seeing and boating.
