Compared to the other Gomphas this is a small temple. This overlooks the valley below. It has one shrine located on the ground floor and an older one on the first floor. Serene and quiet.

I really like this gompa. There are two main shrine areas, one up and one down. The one on the ground floor has been renovated, but the upstairs one is waiting for funds. It sits in a peaceful location overlooking the valley.

I went to monastery before to this place so I was not much interested this place as this was similar to other monastery. If you have ample time then only plan to go to this place.

It might sound odd to review a temple that wasn't open when we went to visit but the point I want to make is that the walk to the Aloobari temple is so fantastic that it doesn't matter that the temple wasn't open. Take the...More
