Spencer Plaza was once a major shopping mall in Chennai in the late 1990s and early 2000. A recent visit here revealed that the mall has not quiet kept up with the times. A fairly decent shopping area but doesn't have all the popular brands.
I had visited this place 20 years ago and it was flourishing so i had great expectations. but now all you see is line of shops selling t-shirts and shorts from Tirupur. Spencer plaza has lost all its glory.

After the inauguration of express avenue this mall has seen its downfall start to begin. Noe landmark stores also moved out of this mall due to poor patronage from public. Lack of maintenance and upgrade has made people to go for other malls.
