Easily spotted when you're in Chamarajanagar, away from Mysore, this is a power-inducing temple all the way from the impressive exterior to the deity. Although not too old (supposedly about 150 yrs old), yet worth a visit.

It is very famous temple of lord Chamarajeshwara . Very beautifully built. Atmosphere inside temple is very peaceful.

after ling up for a short while I finally got through the temple. very colourful, no photos allowed but aill keep the memory in my mind for a long time

temple with Lord shiva, chamundeswari and annapoorani situated in chamaraja nagar chamarajanagar name comes from ruler chamaraja wodeyar. (his birth place)shivaratri, girija kalyana during june and ratha utsav during july is famous here. temple timings 7.30 am to 11.30 am and 5.30 to 8.30 pm.

This is one of the oldest and historical temple in Chamrajanagar district of Mysore in India. A must visit place to tourist travelling to Mysore preferably during weekdays to avoid rush.

Temple is located on Car Street about 5 min drive from the bus stand. It is about 200 years old and built by Wodeyars. This is the birth place of Chamarajendra Wodeyar and hence the town takes the name. Main deity is Eshwara and flanked...More
