Jakhu temple is one of the highest points of Shimla. Temple is very beautiful and must watch place if you are in Shimla. Huge statue of Lord Hanuman is also the key attraction of temple but be aware of monkeys.
Two ways to reach the temple, either by road or by the cable car. Cable car from Mall road Shimla will cost around 500-600 per person both ways. Probably cheaper to rent a car which will bring you to the temple. A few steps (30-40...More
A must go when visiting Shimla - Beautiful statue of Hanumanji at the top which is a must see - Using the ropeway is the ideal way to reach the mandir -
Its a temple situated on a hill starting from Church on the Ridge. One can also go via vehicle where the cab would drop on the temple only. Another route which is preferred by most of the people is from Church. Its 2.5 km on...More
This was ok but very much marred by an aggressive monkey who was intent on attacking even though we had no food
Beware and carry a stick
Probably nicer place to visit than I have indicated but they need to control the monkeys
Take a half day out for this lovely place even if you are not religious. Walk up the hill to test your endurance, stay there to relax for an hour and walk down. Have a hearty breakfast after coming back and take a mid day...More

It is very tall statue of hanuman Ji. Had been there twice. Beautiful and holy place. It is at high altitudes. You can go there by cab or by walk. Better to chose cab.
