The place was built in 1888, by Lord Dufferin, then viceroy of India. It has been the place where partition of India was finalized.

This is an iconic building in Shimla and easily accessible by foot . The views are amazing . The site is not maintained very well but they try. The gardens are worth a visit.

Very interesting to see how the British lived in India, happy to see it has been turned into a place of learning now. The gardens were lovely. Our guide was very good and taught us a lot about the British rule.
