I think it's a great place to hang out with friends and take wonderful pictures. Worth a visit since it's just around the corner if you are having a nice walk in the streets of Shimla. Of course the statues may not be of the level of Madame Tussauds, but it still deserves a visit.

In fact I suggest not to visit at all if you have been to other wax museums. With an entry fee of Rs.250/- this is really a wastage of time & money. No statue looks similar to its original one. A very few collection of statues.

Also known as the first wax museum of Himachal Pradesh, Johnnie’s Wax Museum is a place where you can spend a few hours with the life-size statues of the world-famous personalities. The entry fee to visit Johnnie’s Wax Museum in Shimla is INR 250 per person.

Very modest wax work museum. All very nice and the staff are friendly but there are about 20 statues and you could be round in 5 mins, which is not long for the above average cost of entry. Messi, Harry Potter, The Rock, Daniel Craig (as 007) Iron Man and Gandhi are among the exhibits. The kids enjoyed being photographed with the characters though.

It tools us hardly 15-20 mins to see the whole place which had very few statues, can be better. Amir khan and Salman Khan's statues were funny. Harry Potter looked quite impressive.
