As a Sri Lankan must visit at least once or worth to visit if you are traveling to Kandy. It is free of charge for entrance for locals but needs to buy tickets for foreigners. Must wear proper attire. (no sleave less and shorts)

The museum is upstairs at the rear of the Temple of The Tooth.You are not allowed to take photos.Not a lot to see and more reading than exhibits.Wouldnt have paid to go in but was free with the Temple of the Tooth entrance.

Sri dalada maligawa is also known as temple of tooth relic, it is a must that you visit when you are in kandy. You will have more knowledge about ancient sri lanka from this place

We visited here with our guide who is a Buddhist. This was beneficial as he was able to explain with enthusiasm all aspects of the temple and surrounding buildings. It is quite crowded and some people, locals and tourists, will push past or queue jump!...More

This museum is in the same building as the tooth relic temple, the entrance to it being behind the temple. The same ticket you used to enter the temple can be used here too. Its a nice museum giving you the history of the tooth...More
