Mr Upali is such a nice person! He showed us his workshop and how they worked with the brass. Not only that, he introduced us to a painter and a carpenter in the same village. I can really recommened a visit!

This village is close to 13 km from the kandy town. If you are interested in seen the workshops it's worth visiting. At the same trip you can cover Gadaladeniya temple , Ammbackke and lankathilaka temples in the same area.

This is a small interesting village .the people are very nice and really talented in their craft ship .we can see them making oil lamps , bells . Statues and many other gift items . We can also buy from them as soviniers .

After visiting a near by Buddhist temple, our tour Guide took us to this small crafts men village or let's say it's like a shop, they were very generous people and they carved out names on a brass sheet for free as a welcome gift....More

Went here by chance... Was really nice watching an artist at work. It's really intricate work. He carves all the intricate images like elephants and the likes which are seen on the pillars in the temples. If you appreciate art, you will love to watch...More
