A good range of artefacts, interesting, nicely displayed, just enough to be informative without over labouring. A glimpse into Sinhalese cultural origins. Access up the steps behind the Arts Centre, adjacent to the Garrison Burial Ground. Combine with a walk around the lake.

A well presented collection of art and artefacts Lots of information on traditional life and handicrafts Won’t be to everybody’s taste but if you like ethnographic museums then this is worth about three quarters of an hour

Lots of good explanations of history and culture. Gave a clear idea of life in times past. Would have been even better if there were guides to provide further detail

The museum has very nice exhibits but its a little too small. The entrance cost about 600 lkr and it takes about 45mins to 1 hour to finish touring the museum
