This museum houses many historical artefacts like dresses, pieces of jewellery worn by kings and queens. Old household items, weapons, earthware and lacquerware.

This museum gives a display of some artefacts of the Kandy time of Sri Lanka. If you have some time to kill it is interesting, but I would not recommend it if you have little time to spare

A good range of artefacts, interesting, nicely displayed, just enough to be informative without over labouring. A glimpse into Sinhalese cultural origins. Access up the steps behind the Arts Centre, adjacent to the Garrison Burial Ground. Combine with a walk around the lake.

Lots of good explanations of history and culture. Gave a clear idea of life in times past. Would have been even better if there were guides to provide further detail

The museum has very nice exhibits but its a little too small. The entrance cost about 600 lkr and it takes about 45mins to 1 hour to finish touring the museum
