All reviews nice beach changing facilities beach area sea bath safe place entrance fee changing area normal water nice dip calm sea whole family popular beach warm water small amount per adult cost rupees jaffna town
Unfortunately, I found just an avereage deserted and dirty beach; shallow water and lots of rocks on the bottom of the ocean; lovely sunset behind the palms hides the garbage into the dark; come here only to be dissapointed;
Really calm water for about 50 meters in. The water was warm and really refreshing. It wasn't crowded at all on the Saturday we went. There are no formal changerooms. The toilets are squat so be prepared.
The showers cost 40 rupees to use.
It is virtually a pool in the sea. Unlike other places like Nilaveli, Pasikuda, Kalmunai, Wakaneri, Marble Beach etc where you can walk 50-100 ft into the sea those places have either rocks or coral to spoil your enjoyment and even injure you but here...More

you can drive upto the ferry port and there will be a free parking available there. After that its a short walk to the ferry port. There aren't regular service to Delft Islands - so you may have to hire a private boat for the journey which will take approx 1.5 hrs each way (cost not known). I suggest you go early morning as it can get really crowded with people going to see naga deepa viaharaya and nagapooshani kovil.
That's not practical, unless you hire a separate boat for it. The ferries to Nagadeepa & Delft start from the same place, therefore you need to come back & go to Delft. Thats because they are public ferries. If you hire a... More
That's not practical, unless you hire a separate boat for it. The ferries to Nagadeepa & Delft start from the same place, therefore you need to come back & go to Delft. Thats because they are public ferries. If you hire a private boat which will be more expensive, you can visit Nagadeepa & Delft in the same day. Please not that you need to check the weather conditions before going to Delft.
