Loved this temple, very beautifully kept with current work happening to maintain. Very spiritual place with many locals praying and chanting. Very enjoyable

Grand majestic structure that is worth visiting but there were far too many people there as it was National Holiday. The temperature was also very unpleasant.

The Ruwanwelisaya Dagoba we cant imaging how this build since 2500 years a go without machines. during the full moon day we can see lot of Buddhist people in there for praying. the building is very good level. and very beautiful most at the night.

It will be about three hours travel from Negombo to Anuradhapura, if you travel without stopping using a private vehicle. I would not recommend your schedule of Negombo -> Anuradhapura -> Dambulla, because it would be really... More
