This pond is considered the largest man made pond in ancient Anuradhapura. This was used by the thousands of monks in the sacred city. Visit this place as it can be soothing in the hot sun.

Magnificient ancient and takes your breath away by its majesty and exceptional architecture. The road is tough and not many people visit this. Hidden away in the ancient ruin close to a Dhaana Shalawq of Buddhist monks.

Scenery is so attractive with bright sun in rainy season. Everything looks green and cool. It's unbelievable how the pond has been constructed on a rock itself while keeping its natural state.

This is yet another fine example of ancient Sinhalese culture and engineering which is quite staggering and can be found everywhere in the cultural triangle and beyond. An amazing country to explore.

Amazing man made pool with 159 meters in length 52.7 meters across and 9.5 meters in-depth. It is just behind the Lankarama Viharaya and surrounded by forrest. It is a stunning view and shows the water technology used by ancient Sinhalese kingdom.
